Comprehensive Eye Care for
Every Stage of Life.

An annual eye exam is one of the best ways to protect your vision and ensure long-term eye health. At Lake Views Eye Care, Dr. Chiu provides thorough, customized exams that go beyond updating prescriptions. Each exam is tailored to your age, medical history, and risk factors, giving you both a clear prescription and a personalized plan for your ongoing eye health.
Children’s Eye Exams
Good vision is essential for learning and development. We make children’s exams comfortable and stress-free while checking for common concerns like myopia (nearsightedness) and eye coordination issues.
OHIP covers one comprehensive eye exam per year for children 0–19.
Adult Eye Exams
Annual eye exams are vital for adults, helping detect changes in prescription and early signs of eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease. Your exam includes a full assessment of ocular health, with a personalized plan based on your results.
Senior Eye Exams
As we age, the risk of conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, and retinal disorders increases. Our senior exams are designed to protect long-term vision and independence through early detection and management of age-related concerns.
OHIP covers one comprehensive eye exam every 12-18 months for patients 65 and older.
What We Check For
During your exam, we assess not only your vision but also your overall ocular health. Common conditions we monitor and manage include:
- Eye infections and inflammation
- Dry eye disease
- Cataracts
- Glaucoma
- Macular degeneration
- Retinal disorders (holes, tears, and detachments)
What to Bring
To make the most of your exam, please bring:
- Your current eyeglasses and sunglasses
- Contact lenses and solution information (if applicable)
- A list of your current medications and supplements
Contact Lens
Examinations & Fittings
Contact lenses are a safe and effective option for most prescriptions, but as medical devices, they require a specialized prescription and ongoing care. At Lake Views Eye Care, we provide thorough
contact lens exams and fittings
to ensure your lenses fit comfortably, protect your eye health, and suit your lifestyle.

Comprehensive Exam
We begin with a full eye exam to determine your contact lens prescription and assess eye health.

Fitting
Dr. Chiu considers your prescription, eye shape, and lifestyle to find the best lens for you. A proper fit prevents discomfort and long-term eye problems.

Training & Care
For new wearers, we provide hands-on training for safe insertion, removal, and hygiene practices.

Ocular Emergencies
Any occurrence of sudden or lingering eye pain or vision loss may be considered an eye emergency.
Please contact us in case of the following for consultation:
