Meet Dr. Sandra Chiu, Optometrist

Dr. Chiu is passionate about helping patients protect and improve their vision at every stage of life, and tailoring all treatments to each patient.

Dr Chiu received her Doctor of Optometry from New England College of Optometry in 2014, where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. After practicing in Toronto for 6 years, she moved to Port Elgin to take over Carey Optical in 2021. She is a member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists, Canadian Association of Optometrists, and Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society and has remained committed to advancing patient care through ongoing professional development.

Her clinical interests include ocular disease, pediatric eye health, and the impact of lifestyle on vision. Beyond the exam room, she enjoys going to music festivals with her husband Aaron, and spending time with her two dogs Idunn and Sigi.

Meet Our Team

Our office is lucky to have Haley, our sweet and kind receptionist who treats everyone like family. A creative spirit with a love for animals, art and learning, Haley is currently learning to speak Korean.

Originally from a small town in Alberta, she finds joy in the beauty of the mountains and the golden canola fields that remind her of home. Before joining the world of optometry, Haley spent four years working in construction and has a degree in medical aesthetics. When she’s not brightening our front desk, you’ll find her enjoying time with her family or indulging in her favorite treat: ice cream.

Lake Views is fortunate to have Alena, our Optometric Assistant, as our trusted expert on frames and lenses. Alena is originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan and moved to Bruce County in 2024.

When not helping you pick your next pair of glasses, Alena is also the mastermind behind our office’s funniest TikTok and Instagram videos. She enjoys being outdoors, watching true crime, and spending time with her fiancée, Adam & their pets Howie, Hutch, and Kiwi. When she is not at Lake Views Eye Care, she is working on the farm in Chepstow alongside Adam and his family.

While we can direct bill to the majority of companies, please note that some individual plans may not allow for direct billing and will require the plan member to submit their claim manually.
